Rebecca J Fearnley

BA Hons Dip Arch PG Dip Cons RIBA

Rebecca qualified as an architect from Plymouth School of Architecture after achieving a first-class honours degree, followed by a Diploma in Architecture, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Architectural Conservation.

Since qualification in 2007, Rebecca has worked on a varied range of projects and has a keen eye for bespoke design and detailing to produce high quality architecture.

Since joining Fearnley Lott Architects as a partner in 2010, she has worked on many domestic and commercial projects of various sizes and has a wealth of project experience through all RIBA Stages.

Rebecca’s time outside work is spent with her family taking part in outdoor pursuits such as dog walking, horse riding, and paddle boarding. She is also a keen rugby fan and enjoys watching her son play, or supporting Exeter Chiefs.

Partner

David W Lott

David has a wealth of knowledge and experience in every element of building design and construction. He is responsible for many of North Devon’s high-quality houses, with his designs always being individual and distinguishable.

David has been practicing for over 30 years, with many of his recent projects being high quality, waterfront apartments. A trade background in woodwork and boat design has meant that he has a desirable understanding of intrinsic detailing and construction to ensure that the finish is as high quality of the design. David’s own house was included in ‘Homes and Gardens’ Magazine as a feature article.

David is a self-confessed ‘petrol head’ and enjoys cars. He attends Goodwood Revival every year as he has a passion for vintage cars.

Accounts Administrator

Anna Moseby

AAT

Anna studied at Edgehill College, Bideford, before completing her AAT qualification at Exeter College. Since then, she has worked in the local area for two local dairy companies and a bottled water company where she oversaw sales and general business management until 2014.

In 2015 she joined Fearnley Lott Architects on a part time basis and looks after the accounts and payroll elements of the company.

Outside of work Anna is a busy mum of two boys, so you will usually find her on the side of a rugby pitch or walking around golf courses. She has four spaniels and loves walking in the countryside.

Associate Partner

Alec Inniss

Bsc Hons Architectural Technology and Design. ACIAT.

Alec joined Fearnley Lott Architects in 2014. He is a Senior Architectural Technologist with 15 years’ experience. He graduated with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Architectural Technology and Design from the University of West of England in 2012.

He has worked on a wide range of residential and commercial projects gaining valuable experience in all stages of the construction process. Alec is well thought of by many contractors and developers who praise the quality of his technical design skills.

Alec’s main interests and hobbies are sports orientated, his favourite sport being football, and is a lifelong supporter of Plymouth Argyle. Alec is also keen on Formula One and enjoys attending Silverstone. He is a regular swimmer and in his spare time enjoys long walks with his dog Willow.

Architectural Assistant

Michael Hillis

BA (Hons) ACIAT

Michael is an Architectural Technician who started with Fearnley Lott Architects in 2015. He has worked on a large range of projects and specialises in high quality drawings for planning stage and visualisations to support this.

Working alongside colleagues he has helped to develop designs on a wide range of residential and commercial projects through to construction phase. Michael is very passionate about design from large scale residential to one-off dwellings.

Outside of work, Michael has practiced martial arts for over twenty years, and when also not cycling and running he enjoys just pottering around at his allotment.

Architectural Assistant

Caitlin Knox

BTEC and NVQ in Construction and Built Environment

Caitlin first came to Fearnley Lott Architects on work experience at the age of 15, which inspired her to begin a career in architecture and joined the practice in 2018 as an Apprentice Technician. Alongside working at the practice, she attended Exeter College part time and gained a BTEC and NVQ level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment.

Since completing her studies, she has been focusing on building her technical design knowledge and has worked on a wide range of projects. She has also trained and become an On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor for Fearnley Lott.

Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys playing tennis, music, and going to see live bands. Along with socialising she appreciates time spent outdoors, especially at the local beaches.

Part 1 Architectural Assistant

Maisie Atkinson

Bsc Architecture

Maisie is an Architecture Assistant who joined Fearnley Lott Architects in 2022. She graduated from The Welsh School of Architecture with a Bsc in Architecture, and is currently undertaking her MArch to achieve Part 2 of her RIBA accreditation.

Since the beginning of her education, she has been passionate about design, which led her to focus more on residential and community-based projects.

She is a country girl who enjoys being outside, working and enjoying the sun as well as going for a day’s clay pigeon shooting. Horse riding is one of her main passions and has ridden from a young age with a team who competed competitively at county and national level.

The practice prides itself on the ability to provide high quality of design proposals, which are appropriate in terms of the brief and context.

Sustainability is an integral part of our designs. We have experience in advising on the provision of sustainable systems alongside the design of a good quality envelope to ensure the use of energy is minimised and the performance maximised.
