Case Study

Residential:
Private Dwelling, North Devon Coast
Extension in Conservation Area

Small and simple can be beautiful too. We were instructed to extend this small fisherman’s cottage to maximise its beautiful position with views over the river.

The plot was small and constrained, and the design process focused on creating high levels of natural light, and creating an outlook from more of the property.

The works included a general upgrade to the finishes throughout the property including new kitchen, bathrooms and staircase. Works were also undertaken to replace the rear balustrade onto the sea wall to reveal the view across the estuary.

Fearnley Lott Architects undertook contract administration on this project, whilst visiting the site at regular intervals throughout the construction phase.
